Star Trek

There's no such series that fascinates me more than Star Trek movie series, with its bold imagination of such vast galaxy and exploration brings my dream of space exploration vividly created by Gene Roddenberry.

The series includes from the classic original series of Star Trek, Animated Series, Star Trek the Next Generation, The Voyager, Deep Space Nine, and The Enterprise.

In the Star Trek universe, humans developed faster-than-light space travel, using a form of propulsion referred to as "warp drive", following a nuclear war and a post-apocalyptic period in the mid-21st century. According to the story timeline, the first warp flight happened on 5 April2063, and the Vulcans, an advanced alien race, made first contact with Earth on that day after detecting the warp drive signature. Partly as a result of the intervention and scientific teachings of the Vulcans, humans largely overcame many Earth-bound frailties and vices by the middle of the 22nd century, creating a quasi-utopian society where the central role is played not by money, but rather by the need for exploration and knowledge. Later, mankind united with some of the other sentient species of the galaxy, including the Vulcans, to form the United Federation of Planets.

And the story continues with the remaking of Star Trek that took place early from the beginning of the birth of Capt. James T. Kirk, whose birth was in the middle of space war between Federation vessel and Romulan vessel. It was Capt. Nero from the Romulan that had a vengeance for the lost of his homeworld. Ended with the ordination of James T. Kirk the swagger, bravado, and adrenalin junkie to be the new Captain of the brand new NCC-1701 USS Enterprise.

This new Trekkie movie was a rejoice to watch, the characters bring some fresh touches from its original as if we see that this movie sets up from our time not from our fathers. The Original launched in 1966. This is the 21st century Star Trek not 20th century Star Trek. The Spock, played by Zachary Quinto is pretty terrific with his emotional story. Capt. Kirk (by Chris Pine) in this movie is much more different from the Kirk that we all know. He creates something for his Kirk. And the other occurrence character is fascinating.

If you were a Trekker, you shouldn't miss this. Long live and Prosper!
